Men i morgen...

Home sweet home
It was really good to be home with my mother and my father this weekend. But because the PC had died, I was unable to write the "I'm at home, and it feels so good" blog posting. Instead you'll get "I was at home, and it felt so good".
Friday, I was at Laget in Stavanger, Saturday, I visited Lena and Karoline in their new home on Nag, and Sunday, I visited my grandmother. Jørpeland City is always a hit! Well, it works for one day...
So, that was my weekend. Surprisingly, one of the best things at home was cooking. As you might have noticed, I'm normally flee the moment making food is mentioned. But after getting all my food served for one month here at Hald...
And Sunday evening it was time for me to go to Oslo. I took the night train. It was full, and I sat at the window. I didn't get much sleep. It's hard when you know you can't get out of your seat because the person sitting next to you is sleeping. So I spent the day in a state near a coma... We were at the NKSS office in Oslo, and then we had two hours for shopping in the city. I bought some earrings and a piece of Oreo Dream Cake. Oh, it tasted so good!! (The cake, not the earrings).
Well, that's pretty much it. And I've written my second blog posting in English. Why not?
Well, well. Now I'm in Hald again.

La la Tom Nordli!
Denne mann

It's getting real...
You know what?? I'm leaving in less than a month... On Monday the boss of Focus in Kenya came to Hald, and told us about what we're going to do in Kenya. And the plans had changed. Dramatically... The first two and a half months in Kenya, I'll be spending without my Norwegian team. I'm staying in a town called Eldoret. September 2nd I posted a map of Kenya on my blog. Take a look at it, and you'll find Eldoret in the west of the country. Marit will be in Nakuru, Kari-Anne will live in Kisumu and Finni is stuck in Nairobi all the time... I was EXTREMELY sceptic when I heard about this charming development. But I'm getting positive and even a little excited.
There I'm going to work in a university, and I'll be in a very large Christian Union. It has 1000 members. That's 35 times bigger than Stavanger Kristelige Studentlag, which I attended last year... I'll be working with a member of the STEM-staff. And we'll be involved in small groups, some media and drama or whatever I want to do, and we'll also be visiting the students in their rooms.
And I will have a host family. That I haven't really understood yet. But I guess that will be nice. My roomie Gillian knows them, and she says that they are good people.
Tomorrow I'm going home to Jørpeland. I'm looking forward. Now I've been away for a month. Kenya will be six months.
That's all, folks!
I promise to be positive
I promise to do my best
I promise to help the others
